Become A Tutor
NC Tutoring has high expectations for those who are interested in educating students. Here is what the role involves.
What we ask of tutors
- Attend consistently during your listed weekly availability
- Be punctual for each session
- Display patience and understanding, adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Create a supportive learning environment
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
- Review and go over the student's homework
What to expect
Time Commitment
2 hours per week: 1 hour of lesson prepping, 1 hour of class time.
Homework
Tutors are also responsible for checking the student's homework and going over their mistakes during sessions following assignment completion.
Attendance Policy
Frequent rescheduling occurs, we can help you adjust your schedule or ask that you reconsider becoming a tutor, as this role requires commitment. Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice, except in emergencies.
